The Art vs. the Artist.
Slurping Pho mural
It all begins with an idea. As an illustrator, I have always had a deep love for Vietnamese food. And when I discover that Pho Duong (North York, Toronto) needs a fresh look, inspiration strikes like a burst of colour. I decide to transform the restaurant’s blank walls into a vibrant mural.
The mural is a celebration of Vietnamese culture and cuisine, capturing the essence of pho and Ao Dai traditional dress dynamically and engagingly. It’s not just a visual treat but a cultural homage, turning the restaurant’s walls into a canvas that tells a rich, flavorful story.
This mural took 10 days to complete from sketching to colouring and painting.
